# Mesa — Oeste Design System (v0.2.0) > Mesa is a universal component library under Oeste. Warm paper, near-black ink, oxblood for status. Dark is the default theme. 73 components. MIT, Copyright (c) 2026 hiddeninwest. ## For agents - Read `components.json` first: it lists every component with `id`, `name`, `description`, `registryUrl`, `githubRawUrl`, `docsUrl`, `tags`. - Fetch a component's registry item at its `registryUrl` (e.g. `https://oeste.hiddeninwest.com/mesa/r/button.json`). Registry items are generated from `mesa/src/index.js` — never hand-edited. - Each component page has an Agent lens with a fixed `oeste.component.v1` contract. That contract is the only spec an agent needs for that component. - Import `mesa/src/tokens.css` once. Tokens in `mesa/src/tokens.json` are canonical. Do not invent token values. - Mesa has no Danger token, no modal, no Toast, no Dropdown. Command Palette is the overlay. Do not invent components. - Mesa has no spacing scale and no shared radius scale. Use the observed values per component. - Contrast exceptions are documented in Accessibility: dark accent-deep (2.66:1), Stamp Open on dark card (3.78:1).
